System Overview
|
High performance and
versatility are two essential factors in the success of the Apricot VS340 range. Graphically
Speaking
Graphical user interfaces such as Windows
95 and Windows NT have settled as the norm for all tasks from word processing to video
editing. This is why all VS340 models include industry-leading graphic acceleration
coprocessors to provide the very best on-screen performance. All models use PCI local bus
technology to closely integrate the video circuitry. The Apricot VS340 systems feature the
64-bit ATI MACH 264 chipset with 1MB video RAM as standard.
Room to Manoeuvre
As software packages and the files that
they create become ever-more space consuming, a high capacity hard drive with 850MB or
1.2GB of storage is included.

In all models, EDO memory uses the latest
technology to give faster throughput of data. Because the VS340 meets Apricot's own

standard. Each model uses widely available SIMM memory modules, processor upgrades,
