Receiving Calls (Voice and Fax)

To allow the modem to receive calls (either Voice or Fax) the receive manager must be loaded. To load the receive manager, click on the Receive button on the Cheyenne BitWare Program Screen.

The following screen will appear:

Note: This window can be minimised to the Task Bar.

Once a call comes in, the modem will pick up the call after the set number of rings (see Software Settings ).

Voice Calls
If the incoming call is a Voice call, the answer message will play and then record the message. After receipt of the message, a short sign off message is played and a notification box will be displayed.

Playing back received voice messages
To playback a received voice message, click on the Voice button on the Cheyenne BitWare Program screen, and the following screen will appear:

To playback a voice message, highlight the message (by clicking on it) and click on the Play button.

Fax Calls
If the incoming call is a Fax call, the answer message will begin to play and then, after a period of about 4 seconds, the Receive Manager will detect the incoming call as a fax call and automatically switch into fax receive mode. After the receipt of the fax, a notification box will be displayed.

Viewing received Fax messages
To view received faxes click on the View button on the Cheyenne BitWare Program Screen and the following screen will appear:

To view a fax, highlight the fax (by clicking on it) and click the View button.
