Learn Windows 95 CD on Apricot MS540
It has been found that on some Apricot MS540’s, a specific video
segment in the Learn Windows 95 product, does not play.
After some investigation, it has been found that this is caused by a
program mismatch between the CD-ROM and the hard disk.
To cure this problem, users need to re-install the program. This can be
accomplished by the following procedure.
- Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. If the system is running Windows 95,
the CD will automatically run the program. When the program has loaded, exit in the normal
manner.
- Click the‘Start’ option on the task-bar with the left-mouse
button, and select ‘Run’.
- The ‘Run Menu’ appears. Click the‘ Browse’ button.
This will display the browse dialog box. If you have the icon ‘Desktop’ in the
‘Look In’ menu, you need to double-click on the‘My Computer’ icon.
- This will list the devices in the ‘My Computer’ folder. Now,
double-click on the CD-ROM icon - normally drive D.
- The list should now be replaced by the file contents of the CD.
Double-click on the file ‘INSTALL.EXE’.
- This will start the installation process for Learn Windows 95.
