Enabling Audio on the LS Series Spitfire (LG) Systems

It has been identified that a number of LS-Series (LG) Systems have been shipped with the PC Speaker in the muted configuration by default. If you do not have external speakers connected to your PC, no sound will be audible.

To un-mute or mute the built-in speaker, the following steps should be followed: -

  1. Double-click the speaker icon in the notification area of the start bar to launch the Mixer utility.

  2. From the Options menu on the Mixer, select Advanced Controls. This will add a button marked Advanced to the mixer, just below the leftmost volume slider.

  3. Click the Advanced button, and on the dialog box that appears, check or un-check the PC Speaker Mute option near the bottom.

  4. Click the Close button on the dialog box, and then select Options and Exit to close the mixer.
