Installing Sytos Plus version 1.33 for OS/2 with an Archive 150MB tape drive

Following the recent release of Microsoft LAN Manager 2.1, there is also a new version of Sytos Plus for OS/2. This version of Sytos Plus is being shipped with LAN Manager 2.1 and is designed to provide support for the new SCSI LADDR drivers.

In order for Sytos Plus to access the device, the following procedure must be followed and the server rebooted prior to running Sytos Plus.

  1. Install Sytos Plus in the normal way, selecting the Archive 2150S LADDR driver.
  2. Before rebooting the server, copy ARL_150A.VSD from A:\SYFILES to C:\SYPLUS\SYFILES, then reboot the server.
  3. Sytos Plus should now operate in the usual way.
