Novell Releases New Updated DOS and Windows Client Software

Novell have just released new updated DOS and Windows client kits....

DOSUP9.EXE contains updated files for IPX and ODI workstation drivers, and has support for both NETX and VLM shells. This update has been placed in file area 37 of Apricot Insight BBS. Updated files include the following....

LSL.COM v2.05 previously in DOSUP8.EXE
IPXODI.COM v2.12 previously in DOSUP8.EXE
NETX.EXE v3.32 (931117) PTF previously in NET33X.EXE
NETBIOS.EXE v3.16 not previously released
VLM.EXE v1.10 not previously released

As with DOSUP8.EXE, this archive does NOT contain a copy of BNETX.EXE. The version of NETX.EXE supports all versions of DOS 6.x (and so will support DOS 6.20). The new release of VLM shell fixes a number of known problems with the VLM shells, including coexistence with Microsoft Windows for Workgroups v3.11.

The update is fully documented in a readme file that is part of the distribution archive. See DOSUP9.TXT for full details of the update.

WINUP9.EXE contains updated driver and files for Windows 3.0 and 3.1 users (along with Windows for Workgroups 3.11). This update has been placed in file area 37 of Apricot Insight BBS. Updated files include the following....
