Apricot Security on the XEN-PCLS

A problem has been found with Apricot LOC Technology/2 Security on the XEN-PCLS 486 system running MS-DOS.

If security is enabled and a user is setup with lock keyboard status, when the system is reset it prompts for the keycard to be pressed.

When the keycard is pressed, the system starts to boot MS-DOS, and fails to load the HIMEM.SYS driver. It reports an A20 handler error message.

The problem is cured by editing the CONFIG.SYS file and changing the following line:

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS

to

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS /M:12

The problem does not occur on the XEN-PCLS (Pentium) based systems.
