General Information

LS Pro motherboard.

The LS Pro 386SX 33 and 486 SLC product range will be changing to a new revision of the motherboard during September.

The 386SX-33 motherboard will be available as a spare part under part number PT15170631 and is included in the October Spare Parts price list at the retail price of £564.13. The 486 SLC motherboard will be available as a spare part under part number PT15107431 and is included in the October Spare Parts price list at the retail price of £621.87.

Panther II motherboard.

Similarly, the server (Panther II) I/O and processor boards will be moving to Revision D during September. The move to Revision D is primarily an artwork design change only with no effect to performance, price etc.

The Revision D part numbers are included in the October Spare Parts price list as follows:-

RRP
12271431 I/O BOARD £780.59
12271531 DX-33 CPU £753.97

Rounding of values and discounts.

As some of the items listed on the Spare Parts price list are of low value, i.e. typically less than £1.00, specifically plastics, and miscellaneous screws, washers etc. some values at discounted level are rounded. This may become evident on invoices where the discount is calculated and could show, for instance, 17.96% or 18.04% etc.

Terms and Conditions.

It should be noted that the standard Apricot Computers Limited Terms & Conditions apply to all transactions of spares procurement and supply.

And finally ........

We wish to reiterate the fact that if an order is received for a "standard" factory produced part such as the ones indicated in Newsletter NL0001 then these will be made available in a much quicker timescale than if a "non-standard" part is ordered. The prime reason for this is the need for testing and packing of an item outside of the normal operating procedures at our Glenrothes manufacturing plant. It is strongly recommended that standard parts are ordered to assist yourselves in carrying out your repairs/warranty commitments.
