Overview and Target Audience:
These in depth courses are for anyone trying to diagnose potential
conflicts and problems on systems, from installation through technical support to the more
experienced field service engineer who has to be able to fault find.
Goals:
- To enable experienced engineers to diagnose and identify faults in the
system
- To provide a detailed understanding of Apricot motherboards and major sub
assemblies
- To equip engineers with the necessary understanding of hardware and
firmware configuration issues and procedures
- To enable installation and technical support staff to identify and
allocate available resources
Contents:
- Identification and detailed information on the appropriate motherboard
including revisions and engineering changes
- Details of resource information and firmware configuration for the
motherboard
- Identification and detailed information on other major sub assemblies in
the system
- Correct use of diagnostics and fault finding procedures
Pre-requisites:
The delegate must have experience of Apricot chassis and industry
standard items such as hard disk and tape drives.
