Qi Security and Wangtek TS150 Tape Drive

There is a problem with the MCA Wangtek tape drive controller card that when the POS (Programmable Option Select) information is read from the card, it disables itself.

This problem becomes apparent when using Qi Security with the card fitted inside the machine. Security makes various calls to the card to determine its status and if selected in the security software, disables it. However, when security 'interrogates' the card, it goes to 'sleep'.

A 'work-around' may be written into security for the short term, whilst in the long term it is hoped that Wangtek will resolve the problems with the card itself.
