Apricot LOC Security and "Invalid Login" Attempts

A problem has been reported where, after installing the Advanced Security Pack on LS Pro and/or XEN-LS II systems, some users have subsequently become locked out. On these occasions, an "Invalid Login" message is generated after firing the infrared keycard and entering the username and password.

This should not be confused with the 'One-Time Password' feature, where it is necessary to enter a '+' when a user first logs in, to force an initial change of password.

If a master user becomes locked out during regular use, it will be necessary to drain CMOS and re-configure security. If other users become locked out and the master user is still operational, the master may re-program security after deleting and re-creating defective users.

If this problem is reported to you, please contact Apricot Technical Support for further assistance.
