VX FT (All Models) - Alarm Errors

The VX FT systems are displaying audible and visual alarms at power-on after transportation.

The IDC ribbon cable from the front panel to the power distribution board PL9 becomes dislodged during transportation at the front panel end.

Solution :

Switch off the machine.

Remove the left hand side panel (looking from the front). Locate the aperture at the front top corner of the metalwork where the front panel ribbon cable enters the CPU bay.

The IDC connector on the front panel printed circuit board can be pushed back into place through the aperture without removing the front bezel.

Refit the side panel and switch the machine on.
