Thermal Output Characteristics (2)
This IPB supersedes IPB 4092

These values are based on the following
formula:-
1 Watt = 1 Joule/Sec = 3600 Joules/Hour.
since 1 BTU = 1055 Joules, then 1 Watt = 3.412 BTUs/Hour
In addition, we assume 70% conversion rate from PSU output to thermal
output. This cancels out any losses in the PSU, and the thermal output can be calculated
directly from the power supply output.
Note:
The power dissipation quoted is for maximum PSU output power, not input
power. Switch mode power supply units are 70% efficient. Add 30% to produce the total
maximum power consumption. See IPB 4124. |
