Installing Hard Disk Drives in Current Product
Range
With the changes in IDE drives supplied by Apricot it is important to
note what drives can be installed in which machines. The table below gives details of what
formatted capacities drives will yield.
It is important to note that for the XEN-LS II (Samurai) & LS Pro
(Bonsai) machines that the latest BIOS is installed.
Samurai, Bonsai, A1 & J3 motherboards cannot support formatted drive
capacities above 504Mb.

Note 1 Motherboard cannot support drives over 504MB in size, this drive
can be used if set to 1024 Cylinder, 16 Heads and 64 Tracks. Formatted capacity will only
be 504MB.
Note 2 Even with latest ROM BIOS version this drive is not recognised. |
