Installing 5.25" devices in VS660 machines

There has found to be an issue installing 5.25" full length devices into the bottom 5.25" bay in the VS660.

A power transistor (package outline TO 220) obstructs full clearance of the 5.25" full length device. If a device is fitted into the bottom bay it will bend the power transistor with the possible effect of damaging the device or creating dry joints. If the 5.25" full length device is metal cased then it can short against the power transistor causing loss of power to the VS660 and possible electronic damage.

Apricots advise not to install 5.25" full length devices into the bottom 5.25" drive bay until a satisfactory solution is provided by Apricot.
