MS530 Front Panel / Motherboard connector

Care must be taken when the front panel is disconnected from the mother board to note the orientation of the connectors as they are not keyed. This means that the cables can be connected incorrectly, thus causing power to be connected to the wrong pins and will cause the components to overheat, with the possibility of a fire risk.

This only applies to early production models, as the later machines have had modifications made to the ribbon cable connectors so that they can not be incorrectly connected.
