Add-in PC Modem card not dialling out
on AL700 Notebook
It has been found that there is no dial out facility with any PCMCIA
Modem cards. This is due to a limitation with Windows 95 Power Management and PCMCIA
Modems The following warning is shown when trying to access the internet.
To rectify the problem, carry out the instructions as
listed below.
Select:
- double left mouse click on the "Power Properties" option.
1) The "Turn off PC-Card modems by default is selected with a tick
in the box.
2) This must be deselected as shown below.
