NetWare 2.15 allows Apple Macs to be connected to a Novell Network

There are two methods of connecting Apple Macs to a Novell Network

Method:

  1. is to install EthetTalk cards into the MACs, however only 3Com and Novell Ethernet cards can be used in the file server. The Apricot on-board Ethernet can not be used as a file server, but can be used as a workstation.

  2. is to use the Mac's in-built LocalTalk and to install a LocalTalk card in the fileserver. The fileserver would bridge between the on-board Ethernet and the LocalTalk card.
