Qi 660 and NetWare Compsurf Utility

The CDC 118MByte type 36 hard disk has a list of cylinders (CYL) and head (HD) information relating to the bad blocks found during manufacture. Since the disk is manufactured with 1072 cylinders, a bad block may have a cylinder address in the range 0 to 1071, however both DOS and NetWare Compsurf utility will only use 1024 cylinders. Compsurf will give an error if a cylinder greater than 1023 is entered during manual entry of the drives bad block table.

Listed bad blocks with cylinder addresses greater than 1023 will not be used so can be ignored.
