Apricot AT modems - Comm Port details

Apricot currently ship two types of AT modem, the Triplex modem and the Quad modem.

Both modems are configurable as COM1, 2, 3 or 4; however, they treat COM3 and COM4 differently on each.

For those people using third party communications software that can change the communications port set-up, here are the details.

TRIPLEX QUAD (UNITY GOLD+)
Port IRQ Base Addr IRQ Base Addr
COM1 4 3F8-3FFh 4 3F8-3FFh
COM2 3 2F8-2FFh 3 3F8-2FFh
COM3 5 3E8-3EFh 4 3E8-3EFh
COM4 10 2E8-2EFh 3 2E8-2EFh

DTC will only currently address the Triplex modem when configured as COM3 or COM4 (if using W8250.EXE Vr 1.1.0). Support for the Quad modem on COM3 and COM4 in DTC is currently being examined.
