Enhanced Workstation Boot Floppies on LAN Manager 2.00B

This IPB serves as an update to the Server Environment for OS/2 LAN Manager 2.0 Installation guide.

When creating an enhanced workstation boot floppy as per section 3b on page 2/8 of the guide, using release 2.00 or 2.00A of LAN Manager 2 the installation would run smoothly. However with release 2.00B there has been an extra help file added which now means that all of the files will no longer fit onto a high density floppy. The solution to the problem is as follows:

The extra file is called NETH.MSG and is located in the directory \lanman.dos\netprog . This file is only needed for on line help on LAN Manager NET errors and so is not really needed by the average user.

The solution is therefore to remove the line

\lanman.dos\netprog\*.msg

and replace it with the lines

\lanman.dos\netprog\oso001.msg
\lanman.dos\netprog\net.msg

All of the files will now fit onto one high density floppy as before.
