Novell Release New DSREPAIR.NLM For NetWare 4.01

Novell have today released a new version of DSREPAIR.NLM for NetWare 4.01. DSREPAIR.NLM version 1.92 has been released to overcome issues relating to editing and repairing DS replica rings, and to allow saving of replica ring information to a dump file for further analysis.

DSREPAIR.NLM version 1.92 can be downloaded from Apricot Insight BBS in File Area 37 as DSREPR.EXE. The self-extracting archive contains DSREPAIR.NLM and a readme file, DSREPR.TXT.

There is an error however in the DSREPR.TXT file where it documents how to tell whether you have loaded the correct version of DSREPAIR.NLM... The readme file states the following....

	Version 1.92 or later can be identified by the following 
	message on the top of the main screen when the NLM is loaded
	at the server console:
 
	MESSAGE
 
	   NetWare 4.01 Directory Services Repair Utility BETA
	   RELEASE, NOT FOR GENERAL DISTRIBUTION

whereas the version is actually identified by the following message....

	NetWare Directory Services Repair Utility (192)
	Version 4.01     7 April 1994
	Copyright 1993-1994 Novell, Inc.  All rights reserved.

The rest of the readme documentation is correct, and it should be read fully prior to implementing this new version of DSREPAIR.NLM.

It is recommended that this version of DSREPAIR is used on ALL NetWare 4.01 servers.
