Novell NetWare Updates

A number of new NetWare updates have just been released by Novell. All the updates documented below can be found in File Area 37 of Apricot Insight BBS.

  • STRTL3.EXE
STRTL3.EXE contains all the fixed and patches found in STRTL1.EXE and STRTL2.EXE plus some new fixes and patches to handle all SPX, TLI, and STREAMS communication and server problems. Symptom solution information for the current patches and a history of previous patches are included a readme file in the archive.

  • 312PT2.EXE
This file contains the latest operating system patches for NetWare 3.12. Included with this release are all patches for all user-versions of NetWare 3.12. The patch kit includes fixes for servers hanging when under heavy load whilst mirroring, TTS fixes, disk space reporting errors, and more. This archive (and its contents) replaces 312PT1.EXE.

  • LIBUP4.EXE
This file includes the current Server Library NLMs Update for NetWare 3.11, NetWare SFT III 3.11, NetWare 3.12, and NetWare 4.01. The files contained in the archive are the same as those in LIBUP3.EXE (i.e. MATHLIB, MATHLIBC, CLIB and AFTER311 are all the same), but a new version of NWSNUT.NLM has been added.

  • SMSUP1.EXE
This file includes the current SMS Agents for NetWare 3.11, NetWare SFT III 3.11, NetWare 3.12, and NetWare 4.01. It also contains DOS and OS/2 SMS agents for use on workstations. These files replace those in SBACK2.EXE.

All the above updates contain full documentation detailing the changes and fixes that have been made, along with full installation instructions. This documentation should be read and understood prior to installation. Apricot recommend that these updates be installed on ALL relevant servers.
