Installation Issues with Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 and 3.5

Windows NT and BusLogic Cards

When installing Windows NT onto an Apricot MCA system with a BusLogic SCSI controller card, ensure that the greater than 1GB option is switched to ON.

This option is set on the Reference/Setup diskette.

Windows NT and Monochrome Monitors

Problems may occur when installing Windows NT onto an FTe or FTs (Panther I motherboard) system with a monochrome monitor attached. The system will hang when booting up from the Windows NT installation diskettes.

There are two ways to overcome the problem. A temporary solution is to attach a colour monitor to the system.

For a permanent solution, contact Apricot Technical Support, to upgrade the System BIOS to release 1.02.26.
