Problems with LS550 System with Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (Pre-installed)

Problems have been found with the pre-installed version of Windows for Workgroups 3.11 on the LS550 system, with the 3C509B Ethernet adapter, when configuring the network setup.

If the network setup is changed in any way, i.e. adding NetWare support, the system will return a network error message or may hang when Windows for Workgroups is restarted.

To overcome the problem, edit the SYSTEM.INI file and remove the following line from the [386Enh] section.

Netcard = elnk3.386

Restart the system and Windows for Workgroups 3.11 will run correctly with full network functionality.
