Problems installing OS/2 Warp Connect on the LS/MS/VS Series Systems

Problems have been found when installing IBM OS/2 Warp Connect onto the LS/MS/VS Series Systems.

After booting from the OS/2 Warp Connect installation diskette, and inserting OS/2 Warp Connect Disk 1, the system hangs when attempting to detect an NE2000 Ethernet card.

To overcome the problem, edit the CONFIG.SYS file on Disk 1.

Change the following line

BASEDEV=DETNE2.SYS
to
REM BASEDEV=DETNE2.SYS

IBM OS/2 Warp Connect can now be successfully installed on the system.
