Parts Warranty

All faulty electrical parts (excluding monitors) should be returned to SCC for repair under MEPCD’s Terms of Warranty. SCC is the Primary Warranty Provider for the repair of sub-assembly parts e.g. motherboards, hard drives, power supplies etc. In addition, SCC maintain a comprehensive stock of spare parts to support MEPCD’s 5-year mandatory product life cycle repair period.

SCC aim to repair or replace faulty parts within 10 working days - ie. from date of SCC receipt to date of SCC dispatch.

To obtain warranty repair for faulty In-Warranty parts you should :-

1) Ensure that each part is suitably packaged so as to prevent transit damage (please refer to Spares News NL0050).

2) Ensure the following mandatory information is enclosed with each part to be returned for In Warranty Repair,

i) The Apricot system serial number which the faulty part was removed from.
ii) A fault description.
iii) The Apricot part number and description.
iv) The Serial number of the part.
v) Your Company name, address and contact details.

Failure to supply the above detail may result in a delay to the processing of your warranty claim. Any additional information supplied is entirely at your discression.

3) Return the faulty part directly to :-

SCC
Unit 8,
Demuth Way,
Oldbury,
West Midlands,
B69 4LT

FAO: Warranty Repair Department.

Please note SCC do not currently operate a formal returns procedure and therefore it is not necessary to obtain authorisation from SCC prior to returning the faulty part.
