Qi Reference Disk Release 9 and the VX1000M

Release 9 of the Qi reference disk places the Adaptec SCSI card on interrupt 14 by default. If an attempt is made to load Xenix or Unix on a VX1000M system with the SCSI card so assigned, the operating system will fall over with the following error:-

PANIC: TRAP 00008 IN SYSTEM

When using Release 9 of the Reference disk on a VX1000M Xenix/Unix system, always make sure to run the 'Change' option to set the Adaptec SCSI Controller card interrupt to 15.

N.B. This problem applies to Release 9 of the Reference disk only.
