Specialix Terminal Adapter Boxes (TA8s)

Where problems of terminal or line hanging occur, the TA box must be checked for build level. The correct level is indicated by an ECO number on the underside of the box. This number should be 100 or greater.

Boxes carrying these ECO numbers have the following modifications:

  1. Buffer chips have been changed from TLL to CMOS.
  2. Pin 1 of all 25 way 'D' shells is now connected to chassis ground. (cable shielding should be connected to pin 1 at one end of the cable only).
  3. The paint has been removed from the inside of the box around the 'D' shell and the box have a 'metal to metal ' connection.

Boxes that do not conform to the above standards can be exchanged through Network Si Group spares dept. (part number :XB 43320)
