A utility called SDBUILD is used to create "softdisks" from
which the workstations boot. This requires that a floppy disk containing the software to
enable booting and various drivers, paths, etc. for applications to run is set up first.
Care must be used when setting the floppy that the information for remote startup is
correct when running remotely, i.e. that references are made to the right drive letters.
Also you can have a common softdisk which is made from a floppy, but to
a remote user this is write protected, so it is even more important that you have the
correct items on the floppy used to create it.
This latest environment pack also contains a later version of the UPS
software which is required for use with the Mk2 FT machines.
