SCO UNIX V/386 3.2v4.* and Parallel Printers

No parallel printers are by default installed on 3.2v4 of SCO UNIX. Although we would strongly recommend parallel printers are not used as they can significantly degrade system performance, the following details may prove helpful.

To install the parallel printer run the command:

mkdev parallel

and then select the option to install a monochrome adapter (this is option 2).

Once configured the parallel port will be available as /dev/lp0 not /dev/lp1 as on previous versions of SCO UNIX.
