Apricot XEN-PC Setup Information

The following points should be born in mind when configuring a XEN-PC to run SCO UNIX.

  1. The Adaptec 1510 SCSI card can be configured for tape installation using IRQ 9 at an I/O address of 0x140, the corresponding jumper settings are as follows:

  2. Booting UNIX or Open Server to use the Adaptec 1510 for tape installation use the command line:-
    unix kernel.adapter=spad(0x140,0x9,0)
    at the boot prompt.

  3. The Specialix SI card has been tested on RAM address D8000 using polled mode.

  4. The Archive SC402 QIC-02 card can be configured for tape installation using IRQ 3 at an I/O address of 0x220 and DMA channel 3. Jumper settings are as follows:
