BusLogic Reference Disk Settings

When setting up the BusLogic (MDA) SCSI controllers for use under UNIX in FT series machines the following setting should be checked.

Disk > 1GB OFF

Some reference disks provide help which suggests this value should be set to ON for SCO UNIX; this is incorrect and the value should be set to OFF at installation time. The setting is unlikely to cause problems where drives are of capacity less than 1GB but above 1GB if disk errors occur it will be necessary to reinstall from scratch to eliminate the problem.
