Soft re-boot when using floppy disk as boot device on Ruby systems

It has been brought to our attention that if a soft re-boot (Ctrl-Alt-Del) is attempted when the screen is reading "Starting MS-DOS" the system will hang. To reboot, a cold boot has to be performed (switching off the machine).

The problem only occurs when a bootable floppy disk is fitted into a XEN-PC range machine with a RUBY board fitted.

It is advised to either attempt a soft boot after the machine has booted to the DOS prompt or completely switch off.
