Incorrect Flash BIOS installed in Diamond based
Machines
We have had reports that a small number of machines fitted with the
Diamond motherboard and populated with Cirrus logic 5436 video controller will display the
following warning message when powered on;
WARNING: VIDEO BIOS TYPE AND VIDEO CONTROLLER DO NOT
MATCH
This is due to the incorrect flash BIOS being installed during
production and can be remedied by reprogramming the flash BIOS using D6_5436.BIN which is
located in area 43 of Insight BBS. |
