Installing Matrox Millennium II into Trent based systems.

When installing a Matrox Millennium II video card into a Trent based system (see list below), you must ensure that the BIOS version on the machine is 7.07 or greater before beginning the installation procedure.

Models Affected

MS540 - MM
MS660 - MF
LS340 - LT
VS340 - VT
LS550 - LA
VS550 - VG
LS660 - LD
VS660 - VK

If an earlier BIOS version is installed, when the installation is complete, the Matrox Diagnostic program will report that "The Video Card has not been assigned an Interrupt" and the card will not function correctly. This error message will be repeated every time the computer is restarted.

The latest BIOS version can be downloaded from the "Trent" section of File Area 43 on the Apricot BBS (tel: 0121-717-0444), or via the Internet at the following address: -
