NetWare 286 Utilization on i486 Servers

It has come to our attention that Apricot VX FT Servers with i486 processors give garbled utilization figures when running the server monitor task.

We have checked on this with NOVELL UK, and the problem is that NetWare 286 attempts to read a short integer from the CPU to calculate the utilization, but the i486 actually returns a long integer.

The problem is apparent on ALL i486 servers, not just the Apricot VX FT, and NOVELL UK are looking at the possibility of providing a patch.

If and when this patch becomes available we will issue another bulletin with full details.
