Novell ELS and the Qi 900

The Qi 900 range cannot be used as a server for any version of NetWare ELS.

This is because ELS does not support SCSI disk controllers, and the Qi 900 range uses the same Adaptec SCSI controller as the VX1000M and VX FT ranges.

In order to use the Qi 900 series as a file server for other versions of NOVELL NetWare (2.15 Advanced for example), the NOVELL NetWare Server Environment Pack (SE44273) will be required.

The Western Digital WD8003 driver and Adaptec SCSI driver for NetWare 386 are both still under evaluation, but should be released in a NetWare 386 Server Environment Pack soon.
