VX FT hanging with LAN Manager 2, UPS and Bootserver

It has recently been discovered that when using a Mk 1 VX FT ( old style ) as a LAN Manager 2 server, the FT will hang if both the UPS and Remote Boot service drivers are loaded.

The problem will manifest itself when the UPS.EXE program tries to initialise the UPS. The screen will blank and a partially drawn box of flashing reverse video characters is displayed, at which point the FT hangs.

The problem is currently under investigation by Apricot R&D and a bulletin will be issued as soon as a fix becomes available.

In the meantime, if the bootserver is to be used, DO NOT use the UPS driver.
