Novell Release new CLIB Update

Novell have today released a new update for CLIB that applies to NetWare versions v3.11, v3.12, v4.01 and SFT III v3.11. LIBUP2.EXE (497849 bytes) replaces the earlier CLIB update, LIBUP1.EXE, and includes the following updates......

For NetWare 3.x (3.11, SFT III 3.11, and 3.12)
CLIB.NLM Version 3.12f
MATHLIB.NLM Version 3.12f
MATHLIBC.NLM Version 3.12f
AFTER311.NLM Version 4.00.01
A3112.NLM Version 4.00.00
For NetWare 4.x (4.01)
CLIB.NLM Version 4.01d
MATHLIB.NLM Version 4.01d
MATHLIBC.NLM Version 4.01d
DSAPI.NLM Version 4.01c

The update comes with an install routine that will upgrade any attached servers across the network that you have supervisory (or admin) rights to.

The upgrade comes with full documentation as to what has been changed, the problems that have been fixed, and the revision history of all the updated files.

The updated files do overcome a number of operational errors with NetWare (v3.11, SFT III v3.11, v3.12 and v4.01) and as such, we recommend that this update be installed on ALL relevant NetWare servers, so long as the servers are NOT running NetWare v3.11 with added name space support loaded, in which case CLIB.NLM v3.12d from LIBUP1.EXE should still be used (see note below).

Note: During testing within Apricot's support group, we encountered a problem where the version of CLIB.NLM for NetWare 3.1x (v3.12f) can cause a NetWare v3.11 server to Abend with a General Protection Processor Exception error (running process: AES Sleep Process) if MAC, NFS or OS2 name space support is loaded. Novell have been notified of this problem and a fix for this problem should be available from them shortly.

LIBUP2.EXE (and LIBUP1.EXE) can be downloaded from Novell's NetWire conference on CompUServe, or from Apricot Insight BBS (in File Area 37).
