Seagate Backup Exec 7.01 and NetWare 4.11

The version of Seagate Backup Exec for NetWare being shipped by Mitsubishi Electric PC Division is currently version 7.01. This is not the latest version of the product as Mitsubishi Electric PC Division currently do not have an OEM agreement in place for the latest release of this product (release 7.11d). The product we are shipping is the most up to date we are allowed to ship under our existing agreement with Seagate.

In order to run Backup Exec with NetWare 4.11 however, the latest release is required. We do offer via our bulletin board a free upgrade to the latest version which can be activated by using the serial number in the version shipped.

We are currently looking to address this matter at source, and will indicate via a product marketing newsflash when this has been resolved.

In the meantime, the updated software can be downloaded from File Area 37 of the Insight BBS/Web site as B711DPEN.EXE.
