XEN Range Floppy Drive

(Note:- Please refer to previous Spares News NL0048 dated 14th April 1997)

Please be advised that the new MPF520-4 UNC REPLACE MPF420 PT16067631 floppy drive has been found to be in-compatible in Samurai motherboard variant XEN-LS II & XEN PC products (Model prefixes: SA, SD & SF).

This also applies when using this new MPF520-4 floppy drive in Bonsai motherboard variant LS PRO products (Model prefixes: BN & BO).

For the above model variants (SA, SD, SF, BN & BO) we will resume supplying the previously used non-UNC model MPF520-C floppy drive - PT15354531 (which was previously contained within MPF520 TO REPLACE MPF420 PT15425031 floppy drive kit) - and would ask that you amend your records & spare parts listings accordingly.

We would like to stress however, that the drive is, as previously stated, fully supported by all other motherboard variants of XEN RANGE products (Models: SH & SJ (A1), RA & RB (Robin & Revenge), RC & RD (P2), RE & RF (Jade), RG & RH (Ruby)).
