New SONY Monitor (XJ59296) Warranty Repair Procedure (UK) ONLY

With the introduction of the new 15" SONY Trinitron monitor, SONY have appointed a new repair agent - Getech Ltd.

The warranty returns procedure has been taken on-board by Getech making the process a lot easier. In the event of a warranty failure the following procedure applies to those companies authorised to carry out warranty on behalf of Mitsubishi Electric PC Division.

  1. On receipt of a warranty failure the ARC can log a repair request with the Getech Help Desk (GHD) on 01473 744696
  2. All ARC’s will be issued a contract/Site number, which should be quoted when logging the repair request. (Details of contract/site number available from GTSD).
  3. Information required on logging a repair request:
    a. Contract/Site Number
    b. Model No.
    c. Serial No.
    d. Fault description
    e. Confirmation of ARC’s details
  4. GHD will issue a returns #, which should be marked in bold letters on the outside o the box that the monitor is returned in, as well as on the delivery note enclosed with the monitor.
  5. The monitor should then be packaged correctly and delivered to:

    Getech Ltd (GMS Repair Centre)
    The Getronics Centre
    Knightsdale Road
    Ipswich
    Suffolk
    IP1 4JQ
  6. The turnaround time for monitors will be 10 working days from receipt of monitor into Getech’s goods in department.
  7. Monitors will be returned to ARC’s in their original packaging
    Getech reserve the right not to return monitors to ARC’s with inferior packaging and will contact the ARC direct with regards to repackaging.

The returns number must be quoted in any correspondance relating to the return.
