Warranty procedures for Notebook warranty

Mitsubishi Electric’s PC Division with the introduction of the AL700 Notebook series, has a new warranty procedure. Due to the complex nature of notebook technology, the standard warranty for all notebook products is a "Collect and Return" warranty.

Where a warranty failure occurs (see International Warranty booklet for definition of warranty failure) the following procedure require implementation:

  • The end user customer contacts the Notebook warranty hotline No.
    • UK:           0870 6060 432
    • Eire:          01 805 2066
    • Germany:  069 9509 6224
  • The warranty claim is validated (proof of purchase may be required) and diagnosis of fault is carried out.
  • If repair is required, arrangements for the collection of the notebook are made.
    • Correct packaging is required. If original packaging is not available this needs to be noted whilst logging the warranty fault call and packaging will be supplied.
  • The notebook is collected, repaired (5 business day repair) and returned to customer.

At present the warranty only applies in country of purchase.

Mitsubishi Electric’s PC Division is currently working on providing warranty uplift packages along with cross border European warranty. Details of these extensions to the standard warranty terms and conditions will be forwarded when available.

This procedure continues Mitsubishi Electric’s PC Division’s commitment to improving the quality of service and reducing total cost of ownership.
