Specialix Cards - Driver Revision Levels

MCA Specialix cards for Apricot Qi systems (product codes XB43466 through XB43469) will not function correctly with Specialix drivers earlier than release 2.02a.

Specialix cards are shipped by Apricot with the 2.02a release of the device driver or later, but cards bought from another source may require upgrading - if this is the case, please contact your supplier.

The latest revisions of the Specialix Xenix device drivers are 3.01 and 3.02. These releases of the device driver have an important fix which reduces the chance of terminals "hanging". If you have a site which is experiencing problems with hanging terminals, Unix Support advise that you upgrade to the 3.01 or 3.02 release of the Specialix driver.

A copy of the 3.02 Specialix driver is available from file area 25 of the Support Bulletin Board. Driver disks will be sent on request from Unix Support at a charge of £5.00 per disk.

N.B. The 3.01 release will not install on SCO Xenix 386 VR 2.2. If you wish to install or upgrade the driver on aSCO Xenix 2.2 site, you must use the 3.02 driver release or later.
