Specialix Cards - UNIX Driver Rel 1.02

The Specialix driver for SCO Unix is now available. The current release (1.02) is not installable via custom - please use the following installation procedure:-

  1. Log in to the system as the super-user (root) from the console terminal. Make sure you are the sole user.
  2. Load the release disk in the floppy disk drive and type the following command -
    • tar xvf /dev/install
  3. Now invoke the installation script by keying - /tmp/init.si
  4. During the installation, make sure to answer 'y' to the following questions -
    • "Do you want this kernel to boot by default?"
    • "Do you want the kernel environment rebuilt?"

Once the installation program has successfully completed, the system will have to be rebooted.

Refer to Intermediate Product Bulletin 3036 for information on hardware installation.
