General Information

X.25

Apricot are aware of several suppliers of X.25 cards and bridges. Full details will be provided at the Apricot Roadshows in September. Please note that the Symicron X.25 card currently takes 64 KB of the available 128 KB of Address RAM for MCA Add-in cards, this dramatically reduces the options for adding additional cards for memory, Ethernet or Serial Communications.

New Ethernet Card (3Com 3C527)

The new 3Com 3C527 card being introduced by Apricot is not currently supported by SCO Xenix or SCO Unix. A driver for this 32 - bit high performance card will be available for SCO TCP/IP under SCO Unix in October/November.

Apricot ESDI/SCSI Card

This card is fully supported under SCO Xenix and SCO Unix in FTe and Desktop MCA machines. It should not be installed in the FTs range without prior consultation with Unix support. This card does not support the use of SCSI tape units and only one card should be fitted in systems which will be running Xenix or Unix.
