Reports have reached us regarding a failure to successfully back up and verify a XEN-S 240X machine to a TS150/S (Wangtek) tape drive.

Failures occur intermittently and could occur when either backing up or verifying the tapes.

This problem is currently under investigation by ourselves and the Apricot Research and Development Division.

Until this investigation is complete, we advise that all backups are verified and where possible backups are also made to alternative media.

We will of course convey the results of our investigations as soon as they are complete.
