The LS Pro machines are not supported under the current release of Apricot Security. Not only is there no Reference/Setup Disk, which the Installation procedure asks for, but it will hang when loading the Apricot Security Utility (ASU).

A new release (9.2) is being tested now and should be available from the Sales/Order Desk by the end of next week (aprox 16/10/92).

You must ensure that Release 9.2 or later is used on these systems. The new software will be downwards compatible as always, so if you have a site with older versions, you may upgrade them to the new Release 9.2.

Other enhancements have been made, such as password secrecy when the Master user is entering or changing passwords from the ASU.

We understand that some customers have already bought Apricot Security Packs to use on these machines. Unfortunately, due to the UK L1 security classification, we can not put any security files onto the Apricot Insight BBS. Therefore if anyone does require an upgrade to the new release 9.2, they must send their Master Security disk to either Kelvin Hill or Colin Davis at Apricot Technical Support.
